Tēnā koutou i ngā taiāwhiotanga o te wā,
We have an upcoming He Kaupapa Kōrero online hui for whānau and kaimahi interested in education, with registration links and more information for you and your networks.
He Kaupapa Kōrero is an online wānanga series to explore priority education kaupapa in greater detail, to wānanga, to hear your pātai, aspirations or concerns and map out future topics for the series.
This enables our whānau, hapū and iwi voice to input directly into the relevant kaupapa and to keep whānau, hapū and iwi across education and mātauranga kaupapa, informing MILG’s advocacy positions. Anei ngā taipitopito, here’s what you need to know for the upcoming session:

Presentation by Ministry of Education – Attendance Kaimahi
Regular attendance at school or kura is key to setting tamariki and rangatahi up with the foundation skills they need for everyday life. A range of initiatives have been implemented to date through the Ministry of Education to lift school attendance rates across the motu. This session will provide an update on progress to date, as well as what they’re focusing on next. There will also be an update on the new Attendance Services model that was implemented earlier this year. There will be opportunities for pātai and kōrero throughout the session.
If you have any pātai, please contact kiaora@milg.co.nz
