Sharing below īmera re upcoming wānanga for pakihi Māori.
________________________________________________________________________________________
This īmera is a tono to you from He Pou a Rangi, The Climate Change Commission, to attend our up-coming online wānanga for pakihi Māori.
Our role at He Pou a Rangi is to provide independent expert evidence to the Government of the day. As part of that we engage with central and local government, iwi/Māori, community groups and businesses on emissions reductions, climate risks and adaptation.
We recognise that iwi/Māori economic activity and assets holdings are at risk from changes to our climate such as extreme weather events. We want to ensure that pakihi Māori have the information needed to make decisions to build climate resilient businesses and that your perspectives are reflected in our advice to government.
This wānanga is an opportunity to:
Have a voice in advice presented to government
- Network with other pakihi Māori who’re working towards climate resilience
- Shape the research agenda to further the evidence base on pakihi Māori and climate change.
The details for the wānanga are below:
Tuesday, 28th April
9:30 – 12:00pm
