The hui will be a collaborative group session to gather insights and perspectives about what is happening in your communities.

Topics may include:

  • What does a safe and healthy community look like to you?
  • What problems are your community facing?
  • Is there a problem with alcohol in your community?
  • Where specifically is alcohol a concern in your area?
  • What trading hours do you think alcohol outlets should operate?
  • What do you feel about the number of alcohol outlets in your community?
  • Is alcohol advertising outside of outlets an issue in your community?
  • What is your understanding of the process to get an alcohol licence?
  • What issues are you experiencing with drugs/vapes in your community?
  • How can we work together to ensure our communities are safe and healthy?
  • How can the Council help with addressing these issues?

Your voice is essential to this kōrero, and we are committed to listening, learning, and working in partnership with you.

We would love to meet with you in person, as we highly value the opportunity for kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) engagement.

However, we understand the current fuel crisis will make this challenging for some, so an online attendance option will also be available.

Please RSVP by 3pm on Thursday 7 May 2026 by clicking on this link.

We look forward to your participation and valuable contribution.

Ngā mihi nui,
